From September 8th – 10th, 2023, marking the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, an eighty percent scaled replica of the Vietnam Wall will be displayed at Rocky Point Park in Warwick. The display of the three hundred (300) foot wall, known as the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) Traveling Wall typically attracts thousands of visitors and is the focus of significant media coverage as well as ceremonies, tributes, and veteran services.

An annual memorial event presenting more than 7,000 combat boots adorned with flags and placards where each boot represents the life of a U.S. service member killed in action post 9-11 in the Global War on Terror.

An annual event that provides thousands of veterans with access to important services including healthcare, dental care, employment services, legal services, social welfare benefits, housing assistance, and clothing.

Operation Stand Down Rhode Island is holding its annual coat/clothing giveaway for veterans at the the Providence H-PACT Trailer 37 on 830 Chalkstone Avenue in Providence from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022.

The ZERO K race will be on 10/01/22 and will start at 12 Noon in front of McBRIDE’S PUB on Wayland Ave. All entrants will take their beverage and proceed to the starting line. At noon, the Pawtuxet Rangers will fire the starting gun, entrants will drink their beverage and the race is over. Awards will be given by Category. We will then retire back to McBRIDE’S PUB for your choice of a hotdog or hamburger, and to rave about the grueling ordeal.
