What to Expect – Our Process

Intake Screening

Fill out our intake form to get started.

Representation Packet

In less than a week, you should receive an email with a link to e-sign the Representation Packet containing the documents needed to submit your case to the VA. If you are not accustomed to technology, that is perfectly fine and you may come in person to fill out an intake form and sign the rep packet.

Evidence Development

Once we have submitted your Representation paperwork to the VA, it generally takes 1-2 weeks to receive access to your VA file and put your application together to submit. You can click Evidence for Your Case to provide your OSDRI Representative with

Comp & Pen Exam

The VA may schedule you for a Compensation & Pension Exam to evaluate one or more of your claims. Click Your Comp & Pen Exam to prepare for your exam and make sure you provide the examiner with the information needed for your claim. It is critical that you attend this exam.

Decision and Appeal

Once your Comp & Pen Exam is complete, it generally takes a month for the VA to review the evidence and issue a decision. An experienced attorney at OSDRI will review the decision and contact you to discuss your options to appeal, if necessary. You have one year from the date of the decision to submit an appeal and preserve your benefits from the date of your application.
