With the New England Patriots playing this weekend in Germany, instead of at home in Foxborough, the field at Gillette Stadium is instead being used for a special Veterans Day tribute.

FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — The Boots on the Ground for Heroes Memorial will travel outside of Rhode Island for the first time on Veterans Day weekend.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Boots on the Ground for Heroes Memorial will soon travel outside of Rhode Island for the first time. Operation Stand Down Rhode Island will display the memorial on the field at Gillette Stadium this Veterans Day weekend.
